Aptitude: Good hand/eye co-ordination, good manual dexterity.
Previous Experience: n/a

What you will get: 

Learners will acquire the skills and knowledge to weld stainless steel and aluminum plate in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions to complete 'lap fillet' and 'tee fillet' joints.
On successful completion of this programme learners will have the skills, knowledge, and competency to complete a range of welding tasks to industry standards and in line with Health and Safety requirements.

Course Content/Modules:

    • Machine set up and shut down.
    • Gas set up and safety.
    • Changing welding wire and light maintenance.
    • Welding techniques horizontal, vertical up and down
    • Joint application
    • Stringers
    • Welding a lap joint
    • Welding an outside corner joint
    • Welding a Tee fillet single and multi-run
    • Prepare for coded welding certification
