This course will expand on the application knowledge fields of robot operation and programming to include theoretical contents from the fields of robot safety, cell design and configuration, vision systems, as well as fundamental legal aspects that need to be observed when commissioning.

Learner prerequisites:

Successful learners from the 5-day AMTCE Advanced Robotics programme or have equivalent experience/training in advanced robotic programme knowledge or technical background, which will be vetted by a KUKA Instructor prior to enrolment on this course.

Learning outcomes:

The learners will have a practical understanding of the following at the end of this course:

  • Setting up communication with the Programme Logic Controllers (Siemens S7 or Allen Bradley Micro)
  • Offline Programming
  • Basic simulation-based robot programming
  • Set up and use of VisionTech for vision guided pick and place operations
