The aim of this programme is to provide the learner with an in-depth overview of the fundamentals of the: 3D Construction Printing (3DCP) technology, technical information on the materials used and technological processes employed to ensure successful construction printing operations. Current applications and business opportunities will be presented, with financial models discussed. The live demonstration will give a practical insight into the processes and daily operations of the 3DCP.

This course is suited to professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), and in particular to learn more more about 3D Construction Printing. This course is aimed at:

· Professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), and in particular 3D Construction Printing.

· Professionals in Construction: Engineers, architects and construction managers looking to integrate 3DCP technology into their projects.

· Manufacturing Specialists: Individuals involved in manufacturing processes who want to explore the applications of 3D printing in construction.

· Education: Educators from e.g. architecture, civil engineering or building construction sectors.

Learner prerequisites:

Prior knowledge or experience working in a related field or familiarity with site work would be an advantage but is not essential.

  • Residential construction business case,

Day 2: Live 3DCP demonstration


  • Health & Safety protocol,
  • Start-up procedures,
  • Printing operations,
  • Clean-down & maintenance,
  • Curing provisions

Duration:

This course is 2 days long;




Day one is classroom-based on-site at the AMTCE.




Day two takes place at an external AMTCE workshop, with a live 3D construction printing demonstration.

Progression Pathway:
