Description

Learner Profile:

This one-day introductory course provides students with a strong foundation for our QQI Level 6 industrial Electrical Systems course. If you are interested in attending the 5-day Industrial Electrical Systems course but:

• You have never used a multi-meter to troubleshoot

• You have no experience maintaining electrically controlled equipment

It is strongly recommend that you attend this one-day classroom-based course first.

What you will get:

  • Describe voltage, current and resistance.
  • Compare electricity to other forces of nature
  • Explain how a change in one electrical quantity effects the other quantities
  • Calculate one quantity on Ohms law when given the other two.
  • Explain how Ohms Law works in Parallel and in series circuits.
  • Build an electrical circuit with a switch, power supply and a load.
  • Use a meter to measure voltages and currents.
