Learner Profile:

This one-day introductory course provides students with a strong foundation for our QQI Level 6 industrial Electrical Systems course. If you are interested in attending the 5-day Industrial Electrical Systems course but:

• You have never used a multi-meter to troubleshoot

• You have no experience maintaining electrically controlled equipment

It is strongly recommend that you attend this one-day classroom-based course first.

What you will get:

Describe voltage, current and resistance.
Compare electricity to other forces of nature
Explain how a change in one electrical quantity effects the other quantities
Calculate one quantity on Ohms law when given the other two.
Explain how Ohms Law works in Parallel and in series circuits.
Build an electrical circuit with a switch, power supply and a load.
Use a meter to measure voltages and currents.
